The KS1 class consist of children in Y1 and Y2 ( a maximum of 12 children). They are taught by Mrs Parkinson, Mrs Mather and Mrs Fairclough.
Each morning they have a phonics session and English lesson using Read, Write inc as the basis for their work. After breaktime they have Mathematics which is taught using the Mathematics Enhancement Programme from Plymouth University.
Key Stage 1 read in school to a teacher and complete quizzes on their reading books using accelerated reader. They also use the ipads to go on Easimaths. The children follow a varied and rich curriculum which includes French, music, PE, Science, Topic, swimming, ICT and Gymnastics/Dance.
