16 children make up our Key Stage 2 from year 3 to 6. They are taught by Mr Corbett, Mrs Hanigan and Mrs German.
The school day starts at 9am and in the morning they have daily English lessons. After break they have maths where they follow the White Rose Maths Scheme
Lunch is from 12pm until 1pm and in the Afternoons the Juniors have wide ranging curriculum which includes; Music, French, Geography, History, Science, RE, PSHE. and art. The children benefit from having a highly qualified PE specialist to support the subject. On Thursday afternoons the children all go swimming at Lancaster University. Every day the children have an assembly at 3.15pm and the school day finishes at 3.30pm.
The juniors read and are read to everyday and choose from a large range of books suitable for their reading age. After every book they read, the children answer questions online.
We are proud of the range of trips and visits we offer in Key Stage 2 to a range of museums and other experiences. They have the opportunity for 2 residential visits in Year 5 and 6 to London and the Isle of Man. In addition to this, we visit an outdoor education centre annually and all children have the opportunity to represent their school at a variety of sporting events.
