Uniform Policy

All pupils are expected to wear school uniform. The staff and governors believe it gives the school an identity and encourages the children to take pride in both their appearance and their school. Children are expected to wear school uniform unless there is a justified reason why they may not. If you child cannot temporarily wear uniform, please send in a letter stating the reasons why.

Please note that uniform is:

  • School jumper/cardigan (available from www.ualonline.uk) or an unbranded royal blue jumper/cardigan (available from supermarkets)
  • White polo shirt
  • Black/grey trousers, shorts, skirts or a pinafore dress
  • Blue ginham dresses
  • Grey/black/navy tights
  • Black school shoes
  • Warm and waterproof coat

PE lessons take place on Monday, children will need to wear their PE kits on Monday. Please ensure that children have full PE kit. Reception children will be given a school PE hoody during the first week of school.

Please note that PE kit is:

  • Black tracksuit
  • Black Shorts
  • Plain White T-shirt
  • Trainers, suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Forest School Kit: 

All children are expected to have clothing that is suitable for outdoor learning activates when required.

Children should be provided with sensible gloves (not woollen mittens), old warm coats, hats, jumpers, waterproof trousers or old track suit bottoms (not jeans) thick warm socks and wellies. Please label all school uniform (including shoes/plimsolls) with your child’s name.

All these items are available at many supermarkets and we request that PE kits are unbranded and as plain as possible.

For safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear any jewellery in school. Rings, bracelets and necklaces are all forbidden.  Any child wearing earrings will not be able to take part in PE/games or swimming. This is for safety reasons. Sensible watches are permitted. Long hair should be tied back.
